Here are some of the strategies we use to collect quality public data in high volumes cost-effectively:
Surveys
We use surveys to collect data from a large sample of people, often using online panels or using automated software to contact a large number of people at once. This allows us to get a large number of responses quickly and cheaply, without the need for expensive field workers.
Consumer Panels
Through our partnerships with some of the largest consumer panel providers in the world, we have access to millions of people who are pre-recruited to participate in our studies. This allows us to collect data from a wide range of people, with the potential for more accurate results.
Online Forums
Our team also relies heavily on online forums to collect data. By surveying participants in forums and asking them questions about their opinions on a variety of topics, we are able to get a deep understanding of public opinion.
Social Media Polling
Our team also uses social media polling to collect data. By asking people questions about their opinions on a variety of social media platforms, we are able to get a deep understanding not only of public perception, but also how people's responses vary on different platforms.
Surveys with Mobile Apps
Our team also uses surveys on mobile apps to collect data. Depending on the data your campaign is seeking, our team works with a network of mobile apps who will incentivize their users to participate in order to win money or other prizes. This provides us with both speed and depth of respondents, providing large amounts of high quality data in real-time.
What is public opinion research and why is it important?
Public Opinion Research (POR) is the systematic collection of quantitative or qualitative data from a specific group of people. Public opinion research is conducted on behalf of businesses, government organizations, and individuals to gauge the way at which specific groups of people, or the public, as a whole, feel about different things. In turn, those who gather POR can use the data to their advantage. Businesses can use data collected to improve their operations, pricing or product / service offerings. Government organizations can use public opinion data to measure the well-being of their citizens. Similarly, political campaigns can utilize POR to discover what their target audiences care about most.
