User Experience (UX) Design

1.

Discovery Phase

Our team will begin with a discovery phase to learn about a brand's overall marketing strategy. This includes the brands positioning, target market and target audience, competitor landscape, strategic messaging framework, unique selling proposition and overall mission.

2.

Website Wireframe

Once our team gains a full understanding of a brand’s marketing strategy, we’ll create a text-based design template of the brand’s website. This includes a word-map of the website, including all copyrighting (headers, product and service descriptions, mission statements, taglines, selling propositions, about us descriptions, etc), content descriptions (photo, video and animation outlines), and website navigation.

3.

Brand Kit

After several editing phases back-and-forth between the brand and our team, we recommend our content team develop a brand kit, if the brand does not already have one they’d like to utilize.

4.

Company Head Shots

If your team does not already have staff headshots for the ‘team section’ of the website, we’ll hire a photography agency local to your business to arrange this.

User Interface (UI) Design

1.

Site Design Outline

Our team will create the site design. This will be a .PDF file that will include a full design of how the website will look, including all still content and copywriting for the website. Additionally, we’ll explore the most optimal customer journey on-site.  Typically, this process requires 2-3 revisions to reach a point of satisfaction.

2.

Site Navigation Outline

In preparing the website UI, our team works with brands to create a visually appealing and interactive interface. In order to effectively guide visitors through a website's interface, our team will create a consistent, coherent and visually appealing interface that aligns with the brand’s marketing strategy. Here are a few things we consider when developing a website UI:

• What steps does the customer need to take? How straightforward are they?

• What tasks do they need to complete? How complex are they and how long do they take?

• In steps of the customer journey, which may be considered the most demanding and how can we maintain customer engagement on these steps?

Choose best-fit site host

We recommend utilizing different website building and hosting solutions on a case-by-case basis. This is dependent on a company's industry, business model, data storage requirements, on-site payment processing, sales team structures, etc. In more cases than not, we recommend allowing our team to build your website on Webflow, a website building and hosting platform. Here are the main benefits of utilizing Webflow:

• Client-facing CMS: Our team can create a custom CMS for brands which allows their team to make simple edits to on-site text blocks, swap images and videos seamlessly, and make easy corrections to hyperlinks without having to interact with a website developer.

• Simplified landing page development: Webflow allows team members with no coding experience to quickly set up landing pages for product launches through the freedom to choose from a variety of templates that are easily customizable.

• Minimal plug-in requirements: On most e-commerce website builders like Shopify and Wordpress, brands have to juggle, sometimes, dozens of plug-ins to enhance their customer journey and simplify back-end functionality. Typically, these plug-ins modify the html of a website and, with time, lead to bugs. Bug fixes are tedious and expensive to eliminate. Additionally, most plug-ins require their users to pay a monthly subscription to their developers, which add up overtime. Webflow has almost unlimited opportunities for our team to develop functionalities, at no-cost, that serve the same purpose as paid SaaS plug-ins required on other website building platforms.

Create a surreal first impression for prospective customers. When it comes to website development, we’re always ahead of the curve.

Is it time for a website redesign?
Here’s our 2 cents...

The frequency at which a business should redesign their website varies based on their industry and marketing goals.

For the sake of simplicity, experts have noted that businesses should redesign their website every 2-3 years. However, we’re going to give a few notes on each industry we commonly work with.

Please note that a website redesign is defined by a full revamp of the website’s UX/UI. Adding seasonal banners that include customer offers, new products and new collections is not considered a true website redesign.
